Yes. You pay nothing to use Tenalet. Create unlimited application links, screen unlimited applicants, and share reports with your landlords — all at no cost. Applicants pay for their own background checks, or you can choose to cover the cost yourself.
A credit report with identity verification costs ₦6,000. Income verification costs ₦4,900. You choose which checks to require when creating your application link, and you can decide whether the applicant pays or you cover it.
That’s useful information in itself. A tenant who refuses a process that takes minutes may have something to hide. You decide how to proceed — but you’ll know upfront rather than finding out after placement.
When you create an application link, you get a unique ToletLink you can share via WhatsApp, email, SMS, or social media. Applicants complete everything on their phone — no app download required.
Yes. Guarantors use the same application link as the tenant to submit their own application. They complete the verification process independently, and you receive separate credit and income reports for both the tenant and their guarantor.
Bank statements and payslips can be edited or forged. Tenalet pulls data directly from credit bureaus and the applicant’s bank through Open Banking — the data cannot be faked. You get verified reports you can confidently present to your landlords.
If no credit file exists at any bureau, Tenalet generates a No Credit File Report confirming the applicant’s identity and showing all bureaus searched. You still get identity verification through BVN/NIN.
Credit reports are generated in 2–3 minutes. Income verification completes in under 60 seconds. You can have a full screening done the same day you share the link.
All reports are available as downloadable PDFs. You can download each report individually, or use the “All” tab on the applicant’s report page in your dashboard to download a single merged PDF with everything — credit, income, and identity verification — ready to present to your landlord.
