1. Introduction

Welcome to Tenalet. We are a digital platform that helps landlords manage their renting process with ease. With Tenalet, landlords can collect tenant applications, verify important details, review income and credit history, and set up automated rent payments. Tenants use Tenalet to submit their information safely and keep their rental process simple and transparent.

Before you use Tenalet, we need you to read these Terms of Use. They explain your responsibilities, what you can expect from us, and how the platform should be used.

To continue using Tenalet, you must click "I agree" at the bottom of this page. Clicking "I agree" means you fully accept these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, you won't be able to use the platform.

We try to keep things as clear and straightforward as possible, and if anything is ever confusing, we're always happy to help.

2. Privacy Notice

Please read our Privacy Notice. It explains how we collect your information, how we use it and how it is shared.

3. Using Tenalet

To use Tenalet, you need to follow a few simple rules that help keep the platform safe, fair and reliable for everyone.

Please use Tenalet honestly and for its intended purpose, which is to help landlords manage rental applications and for tenants to submit accurate information for verification. Don't use the platform for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.

You also agree not to misuse Tenalet in any way. This includes things like trying to break into the system, providing false information, attempting to access someone else's data, or using automated tools to scrape or collect information from the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or stop access to Tenalet if we notice behaviour that puts the platform, its users or our partners at risk. We hope we never have to do that, so please use Tenalet responsibly.

If at any point we introduce additional features that require extra permissions or agreements, we'll ask for your consent before you use them.

4. Creating an Account

To use Tenalet, you'll need to create an account. This helps us keep the platform secure and lets you access the features meant for you as a landlord or a tenant.

What you need to get started

To open an account, all you need is your email address and access to that email to receive a one-time password (OTP). We'll send you an OTP each time you log in so you can sign in safely without needing a password.

Provide accurate information

When you create an account, you promise that the information you provide is true, yours, and up to date. If anything changes (like your email or contact information), please update it so we can keep your account working smoothly.

Keep your login secure

Your account is personal to you. Do not share your OTPs or let anyone else log in on your behalf. If you ever notice any unusual activity or think someone else may have accessed your account, please let us know immediately so we can help protect it.

If you want to close your account

You can delete your Tenalet account at any time. Just reach out to us through the platform or via our support email. Once your account is closed, we may still keep some information if the law requires us to or if you have ongoing obligations, but otherwise we'll take care of the rest.

Tenalet has two main types of users: landlords and prospective tenants, either one of them may act through their agent. Each uses the platform differently, but the goal is the same; to make the renting process simple, transparent and more reliable for everyone.

5. How Tenalet Works

Tenalet has two main user types: landlords and prospective tenants; either may act through their agent. Each uses the platform differently, but the goal is the same: to make the rental process simpler, more transparent, and more reliable for everyone.

For landlords

As a landlord, Tenalet helps you manage your renting process. You can set up your property on the platform, get a unique link to share with prospective tenants, receive completed applications, view verification reports, and decide whether or not to rent out your property. Tenalet does not choose tenants or influence your decision. The choice is entirely yours.

For prospective tenants

As a prospective tenant, Tenalet is where you complete your rental application and upload the information a landlord needs to verify your suitability. A landlord may require an income verification report from you. You may choose to share transaction details with the landlord or simply a report that shows income to rent ratio. If the landlord requests a credit report, you will be asked to give your consent before Tenalet runs that check through credit bureaus.

What Tenalet does

Tenalet does not judge or score tenants. We simply collect the information you share, run the checks you authorise, and display the results to the landlord. We are not an agent or a property manager. We do not guarantee approval or rejection. We are a tool that makes the renting process smoother for both sides.

Income verification

You may choose to generate an income verification report through our third party service provider. Unless you choose otherwise, this report will not show your bank balance or raw transaction details. It simply helps the landlord understand your income flow and whether it's enough to cover the rent.

Credit checks

If the landlord wants a credit report, Tenalet will ask for your consent before requesting a credit report about you from the credit bureaus we work with. The report will be shared with the landlord.

Sharing your information

When you submit your application, your landlord can view your details and the reports you've allowed us to generate. Tenalet does not change, score, or judge your information. We simply pass it on as it is.

Application window

Landlords have up to 30 days to review your application. After this period, your application will no longer be visible to them.

Decisions

Landlords decide whether to accept or decline an application. If your application is declined, we may share the landlord's contact details with you so you can follow up with them directly if needed.

Fees

Some parts of the renting process require paid checks such as income verification or credit reports. The landlord decides whether these checks are needed for a tenant's application. If a check requires a fee, the landlord can choose to pay the fee or choose to have the tenant pay it. Tenalet will always show the fee clearly before the check is carried out so that everyone knows what is involved. No verification will be done unless the fee has been paid and, where required, the tenant has given the proper consent.

6. Responsibilities

Prospective tenants

When you use Tenalet to apply for a rental, you agree to provide accurate and truthful information, submit only details that belong to you, where required generate and share your income verification with the landlord, give clear consent before any credit report is pulled, and complete your application honestly and on time. Tenalet does not change or judge your information, we simply pass it along as you provide it.

Landlords

When you use Tenalet to review tenant applications, you agree to use tenant information only to assess the rental application, keep the information confidential and handle it responsibly, review applications within the 30-day window, and make your own rental decisions without relying on Tenalet to approve or reject tenants.

7. Third Party Services

Tenalet uses certain third party tools to help with things like identity checks, income verification, credit reports, payments, analytics and security. These services are provided by independent companies, not by Tenalet. Although we choose our partners carefully, we do not control how these third party services work. We are not responsible for their performance, accuracy, decisions, downtime or any issue that may arise from using their tools. Each third party has its own terms and privacy practices and your use of those services may be subject to their rules. By using Tenalet, you agree that Tenalet is not liable for anything that happens through the use of third party services and that your interaction with those tools is at your own discretion.

8. Intellectual Property

Tenalet and all its content including but not limited to the logo, platform design, text, graphics, features and software belong to Tenalet or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, sell or distribute any part of Tenalet without our written permission.

When you upload or submit content to Tenalet such as documents or images you grant us a limited licence to use that content for the purpose of providing our services. We will not sell or misuse your content. You can learn more about how we handle your personal data in our Privacy Notice.

9. Disclaimers and Limits on Our Responsibility
